watch out bed sheets

as some of you know,i really want a cape. and rather than buy one i thought why not make one. and here is the progress so far. like i said in the last post, i had a little trouble with the pattern i found mainly because it made a tiny mini cape which wasn't quite right. so i made my own pattern out of old sheets (its ok, mum gave it to me!) and here is the result! its like a swing coat & i am very excited to get it finished. it will be double sided so the red and blue will be one. i'm off to keep going!

lovely crafting

i'm going to pop along to the launch of this lovely book tomorrow night at metropolis books in melbourne. it starts at 6pm and I would say it will be a lovely evening xx

speaking of lovely crafting - i started making my cape. I have hit a little snag on my first attempt in that I think maybe the pattern I was given actually isn't quite right. but never fear, I am trying again today with my new pattern I made up myself so I will post some pictures of the results anyway.

i like being sassy

sometimes i get a little carried away, i admit this. i can be a bit sarcastic, possibly a little excitable + maybe easily distracted by shiny objects. i was having a bit of a dance like no one is watching kind of a day last friday & a lovely stranger came up + told me I was just oozing sass. i always wanted to grow up and be one of those ladies who was sassy like in the old movies & i was maybe just a little (ok, a lot) pleased by that. hopefully things just get more sassy this week xx

this weekend

i'm going to see Russell Brand which I am bursting at the seams for. I'm also going to try and attempt to make a cape. thanks to christina for the tips! I'll post some pics of the progress (hopefully it actually looks something like these ones)

ahh bliss

i had the most lovely weekend in the whole world. it's a big claim i know. but really, there couldn't have been much else that would have made it better. i went to the moonlight cinemas with two people i love doing girlie things with (i did get lost in the gardens though!). and today was great because well it's a public holiday here in melbourne & i got to spend it brunching at my fave coffee place and then lazing in the sun at a lovely bar in town. oh and munching ion some delightful baclava. like i said, it was an awesome 3 days.

i hope you all had as nice weekend as i did :)

for those who may stop by somewhat regularly, you may have noticed my posts have been well maybe just a little sad/depressing. i'm sorry for this, it has been my general state for about the last month sadly. but today i have decided that it is all going to turn around. from now on it will only be sunshine, lollipops and rainbows everywhere around here i promise. so to start off the good vibes go and listen/watch this happy fun song
