the first + the last

here is my second piece for the
thread den killer queen show (one more to come!)
hope you like it, it's called 'don't come down' + was loosely based on a gorgeous photograph of toni collette in one of those sunday magazines from a few weeks ago although i don't think it ended up resembling her at all which is fine!

don't come down

hope you have had  a great weekend - and happy birthday to my bestie yols xx

more to come i promise but come along to the show on the 4th or 5th of september - contact thread den here for tickets!

market wrap up

today was the thread den market in north melbourne and it was a lovely way to spend the day at my little stall. i had a spot in the ballroom of the lithuanian club and it was great although i had trouble stopping myself from buying all the lovely things from my neighbours.
i had a fantastic day and it was great to see so many friendly faces, including hollie + mike, anna + my neighbour susan of spin spin who does gorgeous screen printing.
thanks to everyone who stopped in a said hello! it has gotten me all excited for my market dates at rose street in september

i heart sleepless nights (& friday)

i made this at 3am this morning. i should have been asleep. but instead i was making sweet things for the thread den market on sunday. i'm not complaining, it was way too much fun sewing and singing along to lisa mitchell's new album. ahh the creative things you can come up with on a friday morning after very little sleep always amaze me.

happy friday

lines shapes silhouettes

i've been going through a bit of a find my own style phase, not a bad thing i know. i tend to get stuck in a rut with my drawing and can produce masses of different pieces which really don't move on from the last. so in the spirit of trying to keep things fresh, i have been making myself take a few risks. and i am having a lot of fun with it. i think i am finally working out a way to mix my artsy drawings with my architectural drawings.

let me know what you think......
