twin set

so i love dresses, i'm pretty sure i have mentioned this before. and i love vintage ones the most. i spend way too much time sorting through the racks trying to find a gorgeous bargain. but alas, it is hard to find that diamond in the rough sometimes.

so you can imagine how excited i am about new Sydney based online boutique twin set. the gorgeous Renee + Angela have done the work for us all and gathered together some beautiful vintage dresses, shirts + skirts. and they truly are gorgeous. don't take my word for it, take a look yourself

market day wrap up

today i had my first day back at rose street artist market in about a year. and i won't lie, it was quiet - really quiet. in saying that it, i still had a great day out and met some lovely people and watched a lot of my little goodies walk away to happy new homes. i had some lovely neighbours today too, ben + kate from shadow theatre , and i got to check out some goodies by drink me alice  and lab three o five. i'm looking forward to my next market - i am at Rose Street for the whole of October :)

500 days of summer

so i am pretty sure by now that we have all heard that this movie is just going to be the sweetest thing ever. how can it not be? it has zooey. it's a sweet anti rom-com. it has a great soundtrack. it looks like sunshine on film.
i knew i was going to love this movie before i even saw it. i even got the soundtrack about two weeks ago i was that sure. i hadn't watched clips or anything, i just knew. it might have been the sweet sketchy poster but i think it was just the generally sweet and well sunshine like vibe i got from the idea of it.

anyway, i saw it last night with one of my fave people. and it would be fair to say we were both feeling quite gloomy beforehand, work + rainy days will sometimes do that. but after we saw the movie we were both chipper and felt good about the world again. so yes i did love it maybe even more than i expected.

and really, what's not to love?

how to tame a lion

moving is pretty tiresome. and i have come to realise i have a lot  of stuff that is pretty insignificant to others. like pretty pictures. and coloured vases. i am a true bower bird. anyway, today i picked up this gorgeous ep by one of my favourite singer megan washington
it really is great and how amazing is the art work by greedy hen? so lovely. anyway pick it up, cement is my early fave.

one box at a time

i'm in the middle of moving house at the moment. it's a pretty fun experience. I'm just trying to keep focussed on the gorgeous little dollhouse i am moving into rather than the tower of boxes I am yet to fill. it has been fun finding little bits and pieces from the past. i apologise in advance for being a little quiet over the next week, those boxes just aren't going to move themselves

esme

sorry for the super poor photo (it may have been taken in the wee small hours of the morning) but here is my last large piece for the thread den show this weekend - esme. I'm happy with how she came together in the end, I have really enjoyed working at a larger scale for these ones.

and if you would like to come along and see them in the flesh, there are still a few tickets available for the show so give thread den a call - the tickets are only $12!!
