more sneak peeks

here is a little peek at another piece for once upon, i am actually so happy with how this is going but still so much to go! i'll share some more soon! and thank you for all the lovely comments about my last post, so needed some encouragement after being stuck looking at the blank page with nothing happening!

so here a super sneak peek of one of my pieces for once upon - i have the snow queen. i'm finally happy with where these are going but still so much to do with lots of collage to come. anyway come to the exhibition and see the final thing! and i'm going up to Sydney for the opening which i am super excited about!

sigh no more

you have probably already heard about these guys, mumford & sons. they are perfectly lovely. i saw marcus supporting laura marling last year and pretty much fell in love with his voice on the spot. since then i have been listening complusively to them. so you can imagine i was pretty excited about their new album sigh no more. its gorgeous, honestly it is so great. and they are coming for the laneway festival in january too which caused me to do a star jump at work upon hearing this (slightly OTT, I know). anyway i could gush for hours, so just go listen for yourself.

oh and did anyone see spicks and specks last night? megan washington was so amazing!

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas....

.... well at my house anyway. i have been as busy as one of santas helpers making christmas cards and tags for you all. and here is a sneak peek. i will have at Rose Street this week but also will be adding them to my madeit shop (when i finally get the upload thingy to work!). once upon exhibition

Once Upon is an exhibition being put together by the ever talented and super lovely Angela of Leeloo and Renee Anne (you can also check out their gorgeous new shop here). And i am very excited to be a part of this exhibition because it will be my first for real proper exhibition but also because of the AMAZING people that are in it whom I could only wish to be as talented as Catherine Campbell and Kareena Zerefos and so many others. Like I said I am excited. You should be too. And you should go and check it out if you can. Also I am at Rose Street Markets again this Sunday so do come down and say hi. I will also have some of my new Christams range to share with you but mnore on that later.

i wish my world was like this. i wish i had pretty hair and a lovely blue dress like Miss Zooey. I wish i could break into dance Fred and Ginger style in a bank and not get potentially arrested. Ahh and that song is great.

happy wednesday

i heart the postie

i do. i really really love my postie. it's like he knows when i am having a bad day and somehow manages to leave me a nice surprise. and today i must say the postie brought the goods. i have been stuck at home sick today trying to cough up a lung (not my idea, my lungs just want out!) so I was extremely excited when I opened the door to find parcels waiting for me with my new copy of dumbo feather and my diana mini. i am so excited that my camera has arrived and i cant wait til i feel better so I can play with it :) 

it all goes by in a flurry

this weekend has gone by in a flurry. may have had something to do with doing two markets and catching up with a few friends. and it probably doesn't help that i still not feeling that great. but besides this it was lovely weekend. I was at craft hatch market at the city library yesterday and it was great fun. and then today i was back at rose street enjoying the sun and the lovely day. i also picked up this gorgeous headband from my neighbour skye of hell pixie which i LOVE. 

oh and the last picture is of my deck with our cats that think they live with us but don't. last count i have seen 5 different ones. its sort of cute

red shoes

have you seen this? i have been feeling a little under the weather the last few days so i have been curling up on the couch and watching old movies like brigadoon + carousel + the red shoes. they never fail to make me happy. i've also been working on my pieces for the Once Upon Exhibition and i will be honest i am finding it harder than i thought maybe because there is so much i could do. i will show you how it is turning out soon

billie + things to come

just a little something i finished off while having a lovely time laying out in the sun at rose street this weekend. she is the mini version of the bigger coloured and collaged piece i did for the thread den killer queen show a little while ago. i am pretty happy with her and think maybe she may take pride of place on my wall at home. 

also i have a bumper market weekend this weekend - i will be at craft hatch on saturday 10th October at the City Library in Flinders Lane from 11 -4 and then back at Roset Street Market again on Sunday for another fun filled day. if you are in the area do stop by, i love having visitors!
