once upon

Well this weekend has been rather full on mainly due to celebrating my birthday a little too well - it became a festival of jess really which was great fun! It all started Thursday really with a whirlwind 24 hour trip up to Sydney for the opening which involved seeing the coolest christmas tree ever, having hulk hogan on my return flight and going to the Once Upon opening. It was super fun getting to see my babies up there with all the amazing work and also getting to meet some of the lovely artists too. The opening for Once Upon at aMBUSH gallery was so great, about 300+ people attended! And i can finally share with you the pieces that I did for the once upon exhibition that has just finished up in Sydney this weekend. My fairytale was The Snow Queen. You can see all of the artwork can be seen on the Once Upon website and you can also purchase any of the artwork that is still for sale. Image sizes are A5 excluding the frame unless specified. 4 days of awesomeness

so i've been on a countdown to awesomeness. I know this sounds strange. but my super dooper chief peep + bestie inspired me with her 6 weeks to awesomeness challenge so i tagged on basically. really all we were trying to do was just be better and life and make things happen. now there are 4 days left and i think we have done pretty well. she is off to costa rica and travelling for 6 months which is awesome. i have the opening of once upon tomorrow night (YAY!!) and we have had a pretty fun six weeks in general i would say in comparisoon to normal. the challenge ends on sunday which also happens to be my birthday so i will be celebrating no matter what.

so I am heading to Sydney very very early in the morning for the Once Upon opening night and I am so so excited. If you are in town stop in

thread den market day wrap up

Today i was at the super cool Lithuanian Club in north melbourne for the thread den market day and it was so much fun!!! it was amazingly busy and everyone was so lovely so thank you to everyone that came for making it a fun day. and also thank you to my lovely neighbours - rebecca from petticoat conspiracy, susie from  spin spin handmade and hollie + mike from hokey  - go visit them, they do GORGEOUS work! 

I'm back at Rose Street in two weeks and then I will be there every week until Christmas so come down and see us! 

Also I have just done a huge update of my madeit store all ready for Christmas time shopping.

So I was invited to participate in Chupa Chups Chuck's Life Less Serious Champion Challenge and it has been fun I must say.

So armed with a load of Chupa Chups and that ol' stud Chuck, I had to come up with something arty. And I know Chuck is a 

good looking little guy but where is his perfect girl? So I thought I would create one of my pretty ladies just for Chuck. 

And I like to think that he would be super pleased. Especially as Estella is clad in Chupa Chups.
