i like sunday. today was an especially good sunday. i had my stall at the north melbourne market which was really quite fun. i had lovely neighbours from sideshow design and also got some gorgeous things from the lovely ladies from bowerbird inc (check out their shop - you won't be disappointed!) and i got to have lunch with one of my fave people at one of my fave places to eat in north melbourne. all in all a great day. i am back at rose street next week too - so come visit!!!


now if dinner would just cook itself and i didn't have work to do. ahh well! hope your sunday was great too.

to whomever it may concern,

i know it may be alot to ask seeing that it isn't christmas, my birthday or even easter yet. but i really want one of these clocks by established & sons   from living edge. i mean its really cool. and i would treasure it forever. and the clock i have at the moment is from when i was 5 and has rainbow brite on it. so if you have some spare dollars, i know just where you can spend them

truth // there is nothing that a little bit of drawing can't solve

 today hasn't been a great day. i had some sad news that made me just feel listless and without purpose. i even left work early because i was overwhelmed by the need to just go home and crawl into my bed and hide. but i didn't hide, i drew. and these are my new ladies. it felt great to just draw, i haven't been doing too much of it lately with all the late nights at work and all. i love the actual act of drawing and how i can focus on what i am doing. and not think, its kind of peaceful  really. anyway, there is a little way to go with these new ladies but i thought i would share them anyway just in case you forgot (like i had) that i do love drawing. 

oh and i got a little mention here this week, how great were the winners - wow, wish i was that ace!

the lovely ladies from thread den have made their super successful market a regular thing which i am super excited about, its one of my faves to do well because everyone is so great and i always walk away with  a little something for me too!  i am going to have a stall at the first one on the 28th February in North Melbourne. Come along and say hi because it is bound to be a fun day.

today was my first weekend off being at rose street for the year and i did miss it. so what does one do when they have a day off from holding their own market stall? well go to another market of course. so i went to camberwell market to visit my friend who had a stall. for those of you not from melbourne the camberwell market is pretty awesome. i love searching through the stalls and being surrounded by the crazy people haggling over items that are only a dollar. its a pretty entertaining day out. plus there are jam doughnuts. yum. anyway, i thought i would share with you the gems i found. i got a super cute 50's style gingham apron, a lovely dollie, a pretty nice plate and a little blue glass bottle. but my fave finds for the day were the old photographs (how gorgeous!) and the my trip book, mainly for the funny message on the outside telling her friend to she hope she finds a man on her trip, its from 1968 but i thought it was pretty apt with my upcoming trip. and all for $20. lovely.  

look around you

i love when things surprise you and make your day, just lovely unexpected moments. like last night i went dancing after work and they played xanadu, as you can imagine i got a little overexcited. and this morning i went for a walk and my day was made when i saw a love heart when i was walking along the footpath + a some hot air balloons + this awesome paste up of matt preston.

i love carnations. i know what you are thinking - why? well i really can't tell you, i just always have. but if i had a choice i would always choose them over a lily or a rose any day. especially these ones. i love that they look like they are dipped in paint.

i love friday. it means i have two days to do all the things that make me truly happy, or this is how i tend to look at it. this weekend that means planning my new wedding section ( i have done quite a few invittaions now + i love it) and doing the rose street markets so pop down and visit me if you are in the area

you rule

so you may have noticed i have tried to change things up around here. i think i like it. apart from a few teething issues with text colours (which won't allow me to change them - if you know how let me know!). anyway let me know what you think about it, i was trying to make it look less confusing really. 

and i thought i would show you a couple of the rejects from my swoon range. i still love the you rule one but i am not 100% happy with the way it prints out so i didn't want to sell it unless it was perfect.
