I kind of had a fun week last week. Nothing that unusual happened. I made some cute things for my stall. I rode my bike about. I baked a yummy cheesecake. I saw a gorgeous band with some equally gorgeous friends. Point is if every week was like this I would be a pretty happy lady indeed.

Melbourne weather is enough to give me a headache. 

Yesterday was a beautiful 28 degree day - sunshine, lollipops and rainbows everywhere. 

Today on the other hand, it is simply miserable. Rain, Rain, and wait - more rain. 

But on the bright side, rain means staying indoors completing some new projects and even updating my little stores with lots of goodies including new writing sets, mini note sets AND christmas cards.

So the pic above was from Valentines Day last year which I spent with my fave ladies. And we had candy hearts. I love them. Candy hearts and my friends. So what else do I love? Well here it goes:

south side adventures

So my friends and family would be the first to tell you that I am a northern suburbs girl through and through. Northcote, Thornbury, Carlton - all my happy places. 

Anything south of the Yarra I have been raised to just not be that into. Mainly because where I grew up is about an hour by car away from the southside. And way longer by transport. And really what is worth travelling that far for and changing trains 3 times for?  Anyway, point is I don't really like going south of the river at all. I've never been to Chadstone. I don't like St Kilda. You get the picture. 

Anyway, today I spent the whole day wandering around the sites south of the Yarra and I actually enjoyed it. 

Yes, I am surprised as you are. I found some cool shops. I had a nice cupcake. I got a cheap vintage dress with love hearts on it. I had a few ciders with an old friend. It was bliss. So maybe I will have to lessen my full on hatred of the south side and start to embrace it. Maybe. And I took a few happy snaps along the way

i may not have shared with you the fact that i LOVE FRECKLES.

I also had to go collect my artwork today from Guildford now that Fully Six exhibition is all done.  This was what my babies looked like in case you didn't get along to see them. More pics and a wee wrap up to come soon. 



So I hope you all had a great weekend too, I have had a truly crap and emotional couple of weeks with someone very close to me passing away, so having a nice weekend spent with friends was pretty amazing.

So I have been quietly excited about this for a little while and now can finally share with you that one of my prints Juliet is featured in the Lifestyle page of this months Shop til you Drop magazine with the super gorgeous Jess Hart on the cover.

Fully Six exhibition tonight!

I kind of love owls. Actually I really do, probably not for the same reason as most people though. 

You know the movie the Labyrinth with David Bowie sporting an amazing blonde mullet sort of hair-do? Well he would turn into an owl in the movie, and long story short I thought that was the coolest thing ever. And so I have had a soft spot for owls ever since. 

So here is my first try and drawing one. It was super fun. Maybe I might try a little more fauna for a while...
