Finders Keepers A/W Melbourne Wrap up

-->
So if you follow truth.be.told on facebook, twitter or even instagram you will know that I have been focused on preparing for the Melbourne leg of Finders Keepers lately. And this past weekend the market finally took place!

It all went by in kind of a whirlwind. After quickly setting up my little island stall, it was time to begin on Friday and I must say the crowd was overwhelming and amazing. The atmosphere on both days was so happy and like a big ol’ party with a spot of shopping thrown in. Of course the amazing venue didn’t hurt either – as someone who studied architecture, spending two days inside that gorgeous old dame of a building was pretty spectacular.

I didn’t get a chance to get out from behind the stall to take many photos or have a look around because it was that busy – which is so amazing! I had such a great time and I’m especially happy with the response to all of the new designs and products that debuted at the Market.

And it probably goes without saying that the stallholders were awesome. It was great to catch up with some of my super talented friends – like Emily Green, So Little Time Co., Emma Leonard, Beattie Lanser, Able & Game , Jubly Umph , Lavallier  and The Professors Daughter. Oh and catching up with two of my fave ladies - Renee and Angela was awesome as always. And of course getting to meet lots of others I only know via twitter and instagram - like Alicia from Bespoke Letterpress and Sophie from That Vintage - was equally amazing! And I should also say - my neighbour on our little island Sarah Rothe was so lovely and super talented – check out her jewellery range over here.

Anyone who drops by here often won’t find what I am about to say strange – but I don’t think I would have survived the Market without my dose of cupcakes from Mister Nice Guy Cupcakes. Seriously – I love cake and these are my all time favourite cupcakes. So thanks to the lovely girls behind their stall for being so great!

Thank you so much to everyone who came by and visited. It was great to meet you all and also finally meet some people I know from instagram and twitter too!

I’ve put together a few shots for you in case you missed the market or you just want to relive the fun like I do.

Oh and my online store is now fully stocked with everything in the truth.be.told range so pop over and visit!

Sneak peek - new products & designs!

As you know by now,  here at truth.be.told headquarters we are busily preparing for our stall at the Finders Keepers Market that is taking place in Melbourne next week (eeeeekkkkk!!!!)

For a while now I have been working away on some new products and designs for the truth.be.told range and at Finders Keepers I will finally be sharing these with you. All of the designs will be up in the shop before the market also and I have a series of posts planned introducing the newbies.

But in the meantime I thought I would share a little sneak peek of the action in the studio at the moment and some of the new card designs while I am at it - spot them if you can!

Interview feature on the CWC

Sometimes when I get busy my brain starts to give up on me and I do things in my mind and not in reality. it is usually something along the lines of buying paper in my mind but not actually going. My mind ticks it off the list and then it is 'done'.  This time it was amongst the craziness of preparing for the Finders Keepers that my brain completely forgot to share my interview featured on the Creative Women's Circle last week.

Now that my mind and reality have caught up - here it is

Thank you to the lovely Roslyn Russell from Sew Delicious and of course the Creative Women's Circle for the opportunity and well for being just plain awesome.

If you haven't checked out the CWC before then do so NOW! Sorry for being bossy but there are a load of great things happening over there you should check out.  You can even be a member too like me or just sign up for the regular newsletters. Either way, you will thank me later.

Life lately (according to instagram)

It's pretty well known that I am a little addicted to instagram. Ok, I am addicted. Follow along at truthbejess if you like.

But the great thing about this addiction is that I can share with you all of the things that are happening at truth.be.told headquarters. And lately life around here has consisted mainly of preparing goodies for the Finders Keepers Market here in Melbourne - 2 weeks to go eek!!

I've been busily making some new products (can you spot them) and organising other fun things like new business cards for the day. This coming weekend is my major production weekend so I will have lots of new pics to share next week.

And of course a girl can't work all of the time so life has also been about yummy brunches, pretty dresses and seeing fun movies. I also made an epic rainbow cake for my friend who has left home to live in Sweden.

Oh and did I mention that I got an AMAZING new table and chair set? The folks at my favourite cafe Fandango gifted it to me - how nice is that? They remembered how much I loved it when they got it and now it is sitting happily in my house. How nice! If you are in North Melbourne you must go and visit them.
