Welcome to truthbetold - the home of sweet moments and tiny stories. I'm Jessie, a 28 year old creative lass currently living and working Melbourne, Australia. My days are spent working in architecture but by night (and on the weekends) I can be found illustrating and designing for my label truth.be.told - kind of like a photoshopping, typography loving version of Batman. If Batman owned a lot of vintage dresses that is.
My design work is inspired by the things that I love –
illustration, dreamy music, whimisical styling, bold colours and vintage
styling. This blog is a place to
share all of my inspiration and design work, along with a good dose of baking
and pretty dresses.
When not busy designing for truth.be.told or baking, I can be found wandering the streets of Melbourne with my beloved DSLR in hand, searching for all day breakfast or scouring vintage stores for coloured glass (and pretty dresses).
ABOUT MY WORK
truth.be.told began in 2007 based on the belief that there isn’t much that is sweeter than receiving a lovely letter in the post (rather than those pesky bills). Combining a love of illustration, design and all things paper; the designs are unique, whimsical and most of all bring a smile to your face.
In addition to my range of products sold under the umbrella of truth.be.told, I also offer custom design and illustration services including portraits, logo design and invitation and event styling - recent examples can be viewed here
I love nothing more than collaborating on custom
design projects such as posters, illustration and wedding invitations. It isn’t
about following trends – my focus is creating something that is unique and
represents what is important to you, your project or event.
I have been lucky enough to exhibit my illustration
work including the Fully Six exhibition (presented by Youngbloods), Disband
(Sydney and Melbourne), Once Upon and On the Wall – 2010 (presented by Leeloo).
Illustrations from my truth.be.told stationery range have also been
featured in Shop til you Drop; and online at the Finders Keepers blog. I also have illustrated content for private clients and publications including Peppermint Magazine.
