Brianna & David - Wedding invitations & stationery - Part One

Brianna and David - a spring time wedding

Garden weddings in spring are something special. Maybe it is all of the sweet blooms or just the love in the air, but I can't get enough of them. So you can imagine after my initial meeting with Brianna and David exactly how excited I was about working with them on their wedding stationery.

The super sweet couple had planned their day at Summerfield Estate on the Mornington Peninsula with a distinct vintage and homemade feel with the couple and their loved ones making items such as garlands and homemade jams and sauces as thank you gifts to give the celebration that extra special personal touch. For their wedding stationery, the couple asked for a design that reflected all of this whilst carefully balancing the floral and vintage feel with a modern twist.

Inspired by this, I designed a suite featuring hand illustrated flowers, a combination of hand written and contemporary type. The colour palette is taken from the colours of the garden setting including soft pastel green, blush, blue, grey and a stronger steel blue and grey to give the hint a modern twist.

The wedding stationery included both an invitation suite and on the day items in the floral and vintage feel that the couple had planned for the day.

The on the day items included programs, menus, advice cards (wed libs), place cards, table numbers, table seating chart and labels for the thank you gifts which was homemade jam and sauce - how sweet!

Thank you so much to Brianna and David once again for asking me to work with you guys - they were just amazing!

Part two of the feature will feature more of the details and on the day suite - see this post for more
